Forget the self in you and look at the colossal damage done to the polity and geo-component of the State by late Alh Aminu Saleh and his abled deputies, the Yayales during the transition period of Abacha/Abdussalam which usher in the 4th Republic we're currently into.

Bauchi South Senatorial District is leading in both population and landmass. A disparity of almost half a Million ahead of Bauchi North Senatorial District. The North is ahead of the Central Senatorial District with less than Twenty Thousand, yet he gave his people, the North, five(5) Seats in the Federal House of Representatives, Eleven (11) Seats in the State of Assembly.

The South with its excess population ended up with four(4) Seats in the House of Representatives and (10) Seats in the State House of Assembly.

The Central ended up with only three(3) in the House of Representatives and (10) State Assembly seats.

By population and landmass, Tafawa-Balewa LGA is far ahead of Zaki LGA. Tafawa-Balewa has a single seat in the State House of Assembly and had to be joined with Dass and Bogoro to produce a single member to the Federal House of Representatives. Zaki has a Member of the House of Representatives and two(2) State Assembly seats. Either of Darazo and Ganjuwa, co-joined to produce a single member of the House of Representatives, is greater than Gamawa, which is far bigger than Zaki.

In 2008, INEC came up with the Jumare Committee on Suppressed Constituencies and Polling Units. The Committee came with a figure of eight(8) State Assembly Seats to be added to the existing 31 seats in the State House of Assembly:

1. Bula Constituency from Bula/Lere.

2. Jama'a Constituency from Toro/Jama'a

3. Gwana Constituency from Duguri/Gwana.

4. Galambi Constituency from Zungur/Galambi.

5. Birshi/Miri Constituency from Zungur/Galambi.

6. Ari Constituency from Ningi Central.

7. Gadau Constituency from Itas/Gadau.

8. Madara Constituency from Madara/Chinade.

A State Implementation Committee was set up with seven(7) Members with the SSG as  Chairman. I was the representative of the State House of Assembly in the Committee. Wallahi, with the Inauguration and identification of the number of seats allocated to Bauchi South, was the death of the Committee.

Overnight they decided not to participate in the exercise and Governor Yuguda succumbed to their demand.

Wallahi, My then Speaker to the House Late Senator Babayo Garba Gamawa, personally told me of the Katagum Query on him as to why he nominated me into the Committee.

Our fathers and role models, the Tataris and the Ajiyas, never set such terrible precedence for us, but their immediate lieutenants saw no reason to be fair to everyone.

History will never forget that and will never forgive them.

Me: But they are the people crying of being marginalised by Bauchi South. Anyway, I hope those making such statements will learn from history and do justice to themselves. But the truth is, we will remind them at the appropriate time. However, no group of people will be given power on a platter of gold come 2023 and beyond God willing.
