HON. MOHAMMED ALIYU BABA (DAN AMARDIN DEBA) FELICITATE WITH NIGERIANS OVER 2022 DEMOCRACY DAY

Today, we do not only celebrate democracy, but also acknowledge the indelible sacrifices of our heroes who paid the ultimate price for the uncheckered democratic dispensation we are enjoying now.
June 12, 1993 holds a special place in the political trajectory of our great nation. Nigerians shunned ethnic and religious divides and came out in masses to entrust their mandate in a man they believed would take this nation to the greater height. Had the election not been annulled by the military dictatorship, a new brand of leadership would have dawned on Nigeria.
As we mark the 29th anniversary of the historic election won by late Chief M.K.O Abiola, we must reflect on it is vital and important lessons that freedom comes with a price, and that democracy remains our best shot to attain greatness as a nation.
With several months left to the next general elections, we must embrace the right democratic ideals and make informed electoral choices, particularly as young people who occupy a large chunk of the country’s population. More importantly, Hon. Mohammed Aliyu Baba (Dan Amardin Deba) felicitate with Nigerians and urge them to obtain PVCs to enable us exercise our civic duty during the polls and vote for His Excellency Alh. Atiku Abubakar (Wazirin Adamawa) as the President. Achieving the Nigeria of our dreams is our collective responsibility.
