The Wikipedia online dictionary defined an achiever as someone who perform better or achieve more success than expected. That an achiever is someone who feels as if each day starts at zero and that by the end of the day, he must achieve something tangible to feel good about himself. For all intent and purposes, Hon. Mohammed Aliyu Baba is an achiever in his personal life, as a professional banker, financial guru, seasoned administrator and result oriented leader who works at Central Bank of Nigeria with sincerity of purpose, diligent, passion, dedication and scrupulous honesty as well as in his capacity as a traditional leader - the Dan Amar of Deba kingdom.

The story of his life is an inspiration for younger generation as we shall always look up to him as a role model. He was able to traverse the challenges of life and to become successful in every sphere of his earthly existence. Alh. Mohammed Aliyu Baba (Dan Amar din Deba) was born on 3rd November, 1959 in Deba, Gombe State. He has his highest academic qualification as MBA Financial Management at prestigious Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi.

He started his working experience at Central Bank of Nigeria where he rose to become one of the most Senior Management staff in the bank before he retired in 2019. While rendering meritorious services to the nation for over three (3) decades, Dan Amar has received several awards and recommendations as a corrupt free, hard working, punctual and dedicated personality. Owing to his altruistic and diligent service delivery at the apex financial institution of the country coupled with his philanthropic activities, support for the education, community development and general welfare of the masses, the good people of Gombe Central Senatorial District has called upon him to utilize his vast experience and wealth of knowledge to represent them in the National Assembly. 

Indeed, leadership comes from God. And like William Shakespeare, the renowned English dramatists and writer said, some people were born great, others achieve greatness, while some have greatness thrust upon them. For Alh. Mohammed Aliyu Baba (Dan Amar din Deba), it is indeed the combination of all the three scenerios painted by Shakespeare. M. A Baba was born great, having come from a royal family, he achieved greatness through the din of hard work, having risen through the ranks in the banking industry. The Dan Amar of Deba has greatness thrusted upon him, as his constituents were knocking on his door to contest for Senator, Representing Gombe Central Senatorial District under the platform of People Democratic Party.

Indeed, by all measures, temporal or spiritual, Alh. Mohammed Aliyu Baba is the best candidate. The greatest is whose strength carries up the most hearts by the attraction of his exemplary character. Dan Amar was determined to bring his reputation and experience garnered from years of hard work, loyalty and dedication in the banking industry to bear in the good representation of his people in the National Assembly. Already, the quality of leadership being demonstrated by Alh. Mohammed Aliyu Baba (Dan Amar din Deba) in a public office, it's clear for all to see that greatness of a man, according the the late reggae music icon, Bob Marley, is not in how much wealth he acquires, but in his integrity and ability to affect those around him positively.
