Freedom of speech is not freedom of lampooning and denigration

Freedom of speech is not freedom of lampooning and denigration. These insults will never change the status of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Allah is enough protect the honour and dignityof his noble Messenger. But these insults are warnings from Allah about our failure to deliver the message of Islam. France has a long history of abusing, insulting, stigmatising and drawing the so-called caricatures of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and depicting him as terrorist and pedophile. On behalf of over 2 billion Muslims across globe, we have unanimously condemned this barbaric and ignoramus action of blasphemy against our beloved Prophet.

If all Muslim rulers, media and the public at large insulted a French Frog and his entire family and depicted them with insulting drawings, would that be accepted as part of freedom of expression and democracy or would they summon their ambassadors?

If you talk about Jews, you are anti Semitic.

If you criticize gays, you are homophobic.

If you make fun of colored people, you are racist.

But when you insult our beloved Prophet, you are practicing your right as part of your freedom!

Your freedom ends when you start offending 2 billion Muslims!

As a Muslims what can we do at this critical moment?

We must utterly condemn this outrageous blasphemy against our beloved Prophet and boycott the France products. We shall equally disseminate his noble teaching, present the correct picture of Islam to the non-Muslims and remove the misconceptions about Islam. Ignorance is a disease. This is a moment to express our unrequited love to our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). His love is part of our DNA, his love forms the nucleus of our lives. We live him more than our own selves.

The only thing which totally legal for the France, US, UK, Israel is to attack and malign Islam, Muslims the honour and personality of our noble Prophet. The war about Islam is not just to stop Muslims ruling by Islamic Legal System but also descrating that which Muslims hold dearest. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was honest, just, compassionate, truthful and brave. Though he was a man, he was far removed from all evil, shortcomings and imperfections. He prayed for his Ummah until his legs were swollen. He was sent as a blessing for humanity. If you were just to read his physical and spiritual attributes, you are compelled to fall in love with him. He gave women their due rights 1400 years ago, which some are yet fighting for. He empowered women and taught the equality between men and women as the tenet of spirituality. Arguably, he was the first anti-racist in history, a religious pluralist and an advocate of civic nation building. He was an example to mankind. Such an amazing, impeccable and unquestionable character and conduct he had. And the Kuffar choose to ridicule him? He sacrificed his life for his Ummah and made us his beloved. He is indeed the greatest man that ever set foot on face of the earth. The Qur'an described him as "a mercy to mankind." (Quran 21:107). Sallahu Alayhi Wasallam!
