The Creation of Human Being
Allah created human being from two components: Clay and Soul.
The soul is from Allah which is residing in the body and anything that will benefit soul must come from Allah.
"Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah - Islamic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest." Quran 13:28
When you fast, wake up for tahajud, pray five times daily prayer, in the mount Arafat, do sadaqah (Zakat); how do you feel? You feel good right because your actions come from Allah. You are satisfying your soul.
When you commit sin as a Muslim, you feel guilty because you have wronged your soul which comes from Allah.
To satisfy your body which comes from the clay (soil), everything that will satisfy it must come from the soil. That is why the nutrients, proteins, vitamins, energy and others have to come from the soil i.e Agriculture.
"And We sent down from the sky water (rain) in (due) measure, and We gave it lodging in the earth, and verily, We are Able to take it away. Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you, and whereof you eat." Quran 23:18&19
The verses above is talking about the process of growing the crops and benefit us. You can see that agriculture is so important that we need to engage in it to feed the nations.
We can't leave without agriculture. In fact, if the products from agriculture become scarce, when there is famine, our bodies become lean and death is closer.
The economic situation is bad for people who engage not in agriculture but good for agriculturists.
Do you realise that the richest man in Africa depends on agricultural products as raw materials to feed the world?
Do you know that you and I make him richest because we can't live without his products?
Have you ever ponder on the economic situation of agriculturists who are supplying him the raw materials?
Honestly, they too should be the richest in their communities.
It is high time we needed to take agriculture serious in order to liberate ourselves from poverty.
